The Fitness competition will consist of three rounds:

  1. Physique: 2 piece bathing suit and heels

The Physique round will be judged on overall athleticism with regard to symmetry, firmness and proportion as well as overall physical appearance including skin tone, poise and overall presentation. Remember, this is not a bodybuilding class, competitors exhibiting the vascularity, size and definition often seen in bodybuilding will be marked down.

  2. Routine: maximum 2 minutes, to music

Routines will be judged on a combination of athleticism (including strength, flexibility, and endurance), style, personality and showmanship.

There are NO required moves for the routine round. However, the following moves are extremely common amongst competitors:

    • Sideways splits
    • Front splits
    • One arm push-up
    • V-split presshold
    • Straight leg press hold

Announcement of May 3, 2002 concerning attire for Fitness
For all future fitness competitions, fitness athletes must have Round 2 Fitness attire with bottoms that must extend to at least two (2) inches past buttocks and thigh line. "Daisy Duke" style shorts will not be permitted.

Athletes who show up, at weighins/registration, with (daisy duke style shorts) shorts that are shorter than prescribed length, will be instructed to provide another suitable pair or wear a longer pair of shorts, tights, etc. under the bottoms in question.

G-strings of any type worn in any fashion are still prohibited.

This rule was implemented at the 2001 Worlds in Brazil by the IFBB. No warning was given prior to arriving at the weigh-ins and no exceptions were made.

As the two CBBF national events in question are amateur events we follow rules set down by the IFBB amateur rules committee.
